Resumen

Objetivo principal: Aprehender las reacciones de los trabajadores de enfermería en la pandemia de la covid-19. Metodología: Estudio cualitativo con 17 trabajadores de enfermería en una unidad de covid-19 en Salvador, Bahía, Brasil, aprobado por un Comité de Ética en Investigación. Se realizaron entrevistas individuales semiestructuradas, las cuales fueron procesadas mediante el software Iramuteq. Resultados principales: Las reacciones iniciales de los entrevistados fueron miedo, a la muerte, a enfermar ya la transmisión; llanto frecuente; percepción de exclusión; e inseguridad con respecto a procedimientos técnicos. A medida que avanzaba la pandemia, surgieron interrogantes sobre la elección de una profesión; angustia y empatía ante el aislamiento social; la evocación de la fe y la búsqueda de Dios. Al final, revelaron sentimientos de alegría, gratitud, empoderamiento personal, crecimiento, aceptación y dominio del cuidado. Conclusión principal: fueron aprendidas reacciones surgidas de las reflexiones de los propios trabajadores, su relación entre ellos y con el trabajo

Abstract

Objective: To understand the reactions of nursing workers during the covid-19 pandemic. Methods: Qualitative study with 17 nursing workers at a covid-19 unit in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, approved by an Investigation Ethics Committee. Semi-structured individual interviews were carried out, which were processed using the Iramuteq software. Results: The initial reactions of the interviewees were scared, dying, sick and transmission; frequent call; exclusion perception; and insecurity with respect to technical procedures. As the pandemic progressed, questions arose about choosing a profession; anguish and empathy in the face of social isolation; the evocation of faith and the search for God. In the end, they revealed feelings of joy, gratitude, personal empowerment, growth, acceptance and mastery of care. Conclusions: reactions arising from the reflections of the workers themselves, their relationship between them and the job were apprehended
