Unlearning to relearn the History of Nursing through storytelling

Resumen

Objetivo principal: Analizar los procesos de aprendizaje-desaprendizaje-reaprendizaje en los que está inmersa la docencia de la historia de la enfermería. Metodología: Desde una mirada hermenéutica se intenta interpretar los fenómenos que están involucrados en el aprendizaje actual de la historia de la profesión enfermera (aprender-desaprender-reaprender). Mirada que tiene en cuenta cómo se estructura el pensamiento del investigador principal, desde la detección de carencias en la enseñanza de la historia de la disciplina. Resultados principales: Se plantea en el discurso la posibilidad del uso de la metodología del storytelling como forma de construir un relato histórico que aumente la motivación por el aprendizaje significativo de la materia. Conclusión principal: Es necesario alinearse con las nuevas metodologías para conseguir captar la atención de una generación centennial nativa de los entornos digitales.

Abstract

Objective: Analyze the learning-unlearning-relearning processes in which the teaching of nursing history is immersed. Methods: From a hermeneutic perspective, we attempt to interpret the phenomena involved in the current learning of the history of the nursing profession (learning-unlearning-relearning). A perspective that takes into account how the principal researcher’s thinking is structured, from the detection of shortcomings in the teaching of the history of the discipline. Results: The speech raises the possibility of using storytelling methodology as a way to construct a historical narrative that increases motivation for meaningful learning of the subject. Conclusions: It’s necessary to align with new methodologies to capture the attention of a digitally native centennial generation.
