Resumen

Dentro de la seguridad del paciente en el ámbito enfermero, las úlceras por presión (UPP) son la principal complicación más reportada a lo largo de la literatura, con una incidencia que oscila entre el 2% y el 55%. A lo largo de los años se han desarrollado dispositivos y técnicas destinadas a prevenirlas. El análisis de la eficacia de estas intervenciones ha supuesto el objetivo principal de esta revisión bibliográfica. Para tal fin, se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica en las principales bases de datos durante los meses de febrero y marzo de 2022, aplicando una serie de criterios de inclusión y exclusión, para la selección de los artículos. Finalmente, se incluyeron en esta revisión un total de cuatro artículos. Tras el análisis de los artículos, se observa que se cree necesario el abordaje combinado de dispositivos de presión alternada accionados eléctricamente, dispositivos de soporte con características viscoelásticas y apósitos profilácticos, ya que son considerados como el método más efectivo a la hora de prevenir ulceras por presión intraoperatorias

Abstract

Within the patient safety in the nursing field, pressure ulcers (PU) are the main complication most reported throughout the literature, with an incidence ranging between 2% and 55%. Over the years, devices and techniques have been developed to prevent them. The analysis of the
effectiveness of these interventions has been the main objective of this literature review. For this pupose, a bibliographic search was carried out in the main databases during the months of February and March 2022, applying a series of inclusion and exclusion criteria, for the selection of articles. Finally, a total of four articles were included in this review. After the analysis of the articles, it is observed that the combined approach of electrically operated alternating pressure devices, support devices with viscoelastic characteristics and prophylactic dressings is considered necessary, since they are considered the most effective method in preventing intraoperative pressure ulcers
