Resumen

Este relato biográfico describe el papel de los padres y de la terapia individualizada (dieta educativa)  en el éxito del rendimiento de un niño con parálisis cerebral hemipléjica. Se espera que estos niños estén predispuestos a mostrar dificultades específicas de aprendizaje. En este caso, el perfil presenta resultados distintos a lo que sería esperable. Para abordar el objetivo de este estudio, se usó la investigación cualitativa con método biográfico, a través de una entrevista en profundidad con el padre. La entrevista fue grabada y transcrita, y de su análisis emergieron las categorías y subcategorías, que nos ayudan a comprender que la terapia que han seguido durante estos años y el gran apoyo familiar pueden ser los aspectos que están contribuyendo a los buenos resultados.

Abstract

This biographical story describes the role of parents and individualized therapy (educational diet) in the success of performance of a child with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. It is expected that these children are predisposed to show specific learning difficulties. This particular case displays a profile disparate from what is expected. To address the objective of this study, qualitative research with biographical method was used, through an in-depth interview with the father. The interview was recorded and transcribed, and from its analysis emerged the categories and subcategories, which help us to understand that the educational diet therapy that has followed during these years and the great family support may be the aspects that are contributing to the good results.
